I really enjoyed Science/Physics because it made sense to me and it helped me understand why things work. I found that learning by doing was the best way for me to understand, so I particularly enjoyed experiments.

I really enjoyed IT unsurprisingly! I think it would now be GCSE Computer Science has some of the stuff I learnt.

I also liked Maths and Physics 🙂

My favorites were Chemistry and Biology. My interest in mathematics didn’t come until later when I realized its foundational importance to my work.

I always enjoyed the subjects that allowed me to explore how things worked, including numbers and the physical world. So for me it was Maths and Physics primarily, with the other sciences and subjects like Electronics and Computing coming up next.

Geography was my favourite. I loved hearing about faraway places and wondering if I would ever get to see them. Fortunately I have had the opportunity through my career to work in many different countries and this has given me the chance to experience some of these places.

In school, I really enjoyed the science subjects, especially mathematics, further mathematics, physics, and chemistry. Having very good and appropriately passionate teachers also helps.

      Geography and English!

I really struggled with maths and despite loving mucking around with computers at home, I found IT at school really boring (back then, IT was more about entering data into a database or learning about how to use Word – yawn). I ended up doing Geography at University and was pleased to find out that I could combine my love of Geography and passion for computers in a subject called ‘Geographic Information Systems’ or G.I.S.

This was a revelation, as all of a sudden, I discovered computers could be used in real-world applications in subjects that interested me.

I really enjoyed math and physics. I went on to setup my own tuition business specialising in those subjects as I really get a sense of fulfillment when I solve an equation.

I also enjoyed P.E and Graphics. PE was great because I loved sports and graphics gave me a creative outlet
